Summit Mosquito Bits® is a highly selective microbial insecticide that effectively controls mosquito larvae in standing water. Made with Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis), a soil borne bacterium that is toxic only to mosquito larvae and harmless to other living things. Mosquito Bits® are ideal for large areas of standing water that are difficult to treat with Mosquito Dunks®. Easy to use – simply sprinkle or broadcast Mosquito Bits® over standing water. Bits act quickly and begin killing mosquito larvae within minutes. Reapply every 7-14 days for maximum control. Mosquito Bits® are harmless to beneficial insects, pets, birds, fish, horses, livestock, and wildlife. Use in water gardens, bird baths, rain barrels, roof gutters, tree holes, stock tanks, animal watering troughs and more. Perfect for areas where you cannot easily control standing water, including fallen leaves, swampy areas, and vehicle tire tracks. Sprinkle over bromeliads, pitcher plants, and other areas where tiny amounts of water turn into mosquito breeding grounds.
